LINE MUSIC is a music streaming service. You can listen to songs in the app without having to save them on your device, so there's no need to worry about storage space.

In addition to being able to listen to the latest songs, LINE MUSIC allows you to:

• Share songs in chats with your friends on LINE.

• Set a song as background music for your LINE profile.

• Listen to playlists created by others.

• Listen to songs offline.

• Set songs as your ringtone or ringback tone for free calls on LINE.

You need to purchase a ticket to use all of the features in LINE MUSIC. If you haven't purchased a ticket, you can only listen to 30 second previews of songs.

Note:

- Songs purchased with Coins can be played in full, regardless of whether you have a ticket or not. (The sale of Purchase Only songs has ended as of April 4, 2022.)

- LINE MUSIC uses network data, so we recommend using it with a flat-rate data plan.

LINE MUSIC uses packet data. We recommend checking with your mobile phone carrier in regards to your packet data and its settings.

Please note that you can only register to LINE MUSIC if your LINE account is registered in Japan. You cannot use LINE MUSIC if your LINE account is registered in another country.

By adding LINE MUSIC widgets, you can play music as well as quickly access your recently played songs and various features.

To add a widget:

1. On your device's home screen, tap and hold an area with no icons.

2. Tap "+" at the top left of the screen.

3. From the Widgets list, tap LINE MUSIC.

4. Select the widget you want to add.

Note:

- You can add LINE MUSIC widgets on iPhones running iOS 14 or later.

- You can select from eight different widget types.

- LINE MUSIC widgets can't be added to the lock screen.

As of December 2017, the rules regarding making playlists with purchased songs have changed.

Purchased songs can only be added to your private playlists. They cannot be added to public lists, and any playlist with purchased songs cannot be shared.

This playlist displays the songs you've played the most over the last three months, and can only be seen by you.

Note:

- The Top 50 will appear if you've played 20 or more songs in the last three months, and will show up to 50 songs starting with those you've listened to the most.

- Any times you played songs that became unavailable at the right holder's request are excluded from your play count.

- Your Top 50 list will appear with the display name set on the LINE account you log in to LINE MUSIC with shown before it.

You can identify a song that's playing around you by searching for it on LINE MUSIC.

To search for a song:

1. Tap the Search tab.

2. Tap the music note icon on the right of the input field.

Since the release of LINE MUSIC version 6.13.0, the music recognition feature from the Search tab is no longer available for version 6.12.0 and earlier. To continue using the music recognition feature normally, please update the LINE MUSIC app to the latest version.

To change the LINE MUSIC app's theme:

3. Tap Theme settings and select the theme you want to use.

You can choose the following themes:

• Day mode

• Night mode

If you turn on Use Device Settings, the theme that matches the appearance of your OS (e.g. light/dark mode) will be applied.

To use the LINE MUSIC free sticker plan, you need to subscribe from the LINE MUSIC app.

You will be sent push notifications for information such as tickets, events, and new album notices. The different types of notifications are as follows.

Ticket Alerts: You'll receive notifications about when you can start using a ticket and a reminder before it expires.
Events and Latest Albums: You'll receive notifications for a variety of music news, such as newly added events, winner announcements for events, and information about famous artists' new releases.
Updates: You'll receive the latest information about the artists you follow and information about your My Oshi artists.

If you do not wish to receive push notifications, go to Settings > Push notifications > and turn OFF each type of notification.

The Room feature, which was provided in beta version form, will no longer be offered as of Monday, November 13, 2023. This is because we are planning to concentrate our resources on developing and improving other LINE MUSIC features.

Also, while there are no plans to develop or offer an official release version of this feature, the LINE MUSIC profile feature will continue to be available, as before.

Note: For more information about the profile feature, see About LINE MUSIC profiles.

Refer to the following dates leading up to the feature ending:

• On Friday, November 10, 2023, the creation of new Rooms will be suspended. (This is the last day Rooms can be created.)

• On Monday, November 13, 2023, the feature will end.

Note: The exact date and time the feature ends may vary.
