BGM

You can add background music to your LINE profile from either LINE or LINE MUSIC.

From LINE:

1. Start LINE.

2. From the Home tab, tap Settings > Profile.

3. Turn ON Background music.

4. Select a song, then tap Edit.

Note: Songs need to be temporarily cached in order to set them as background music.

5. Select the part of the song that you want to set as background music and tap Save.

From LINE MUSIC:

1. Start LINE MUSIC.

2. Tap "…" at the top of the full player screen or to the right of a song title in a playlist.

3. Tap Use as BGM.

Note: Songs need to be temporarily cached in order to set them as background music.

4. Select the part of the song that you want to set as background music and tap Save.

You can change your profile's background music as many times as you like with a free trial or a valid LINE MUSIC subscription.

If you don't have a valid LINE MUSIC subscription, you can only set your background music once a month.

Note: This limit is reset on the first day of every month.

Songs that are not currently available for sale cannot be set as background music or a ringtone, as they are no longer handled by LINE MUSIC. We apologize for any disappointment and ask for your understanding in this matter.

Note: You still have the right to play the songs you purchased on LINE MUSIC or other music players.

If you don't want songs you've set as your BGM or ringtone to be public in the LINE MUSIC app, you need to change your setting.

To change your setting:

1. Tap Library > Settings > Account.

2. Turn OFF BGM & Melody Setting.

Friend's Now shows the songs your friends on LINE have set as BGM, ringtones, or ringback tones.

To view this list of songs, tap Friend's Now under Today.

Friend's Now will only appear when more than 10 friends have set a BGM, ringtone, or ringback tone to their account.
